2026 Tournament Recap
What a day.
The 2026 Bulverde Lions Club Charity Golf Tournament was officially sold out, and we could not be more grateful for the incredible support from our players, sponsors, volunteers, and community.
This year marked a lot of exciting change for our tournament. We moved to a new course at Vaaler Creek Golf Club, welcomed many new members into the planning process, introduced new sponsors and on-course experiences, and had a new tournament chair leading the event. With so many moving parts and new elements coming together at once, there were countless opportunities for challenges along the way — but despite all of that, the day was a tremendous success.
We are proud to share that we exceeded our fundraising goal, helping strengthen the impact of the Bulverde Lions Club and the service projects we support throughout our community.
We even had a hole-in-one this year — a moment nobody there will forget.

Simply put: we do not have a golf tournament without golfers.
To every player, team captain, returning supporter, and first-time participant who chose to spend the day with us — thank you. Your participation directly fuels the work our club is able to do throughout the year, and we are incredibly grateful that you continue to show up, support us, and help make this tournament something special.

Last — but certainly not least — thank you to the team behind the scenes who poured countless hours into making this event happen.
This year required flexibility, teamwork, creativity, and patience. Between the new course, new volunteers, new sponsors, new tournament systems, and new leadership roles, there was a tremendous amount to coordinate. While no event is ever perfect — and we absolutely have lessons we’ll take into next year — the overall outcome was something to be proud of.
And then there was the weather.
We spent weeks carefully watching the rain forecast… but the biggest surprise of the day turned out to be the temperature. The sudden 30-degree drop changed the experience for everyone involved, from players to volunteers to sponsors stationed out on the course all day long.
To everyone who bundled up, pushed through the cold, laughed through it with us, and still helped create a fun and memorable day: thank you. At least it wasn’t 100 degrees… right?
